1. WHO WE ARE

QuantBuilder AI ("QuantBuilder," "we," "us," "our") operates the platform available at quant-builder.ai. We are based in Illinois, United States.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Your name and email address when you register
• Payment information: Billing details processed through Stripe (we never see or store your full credit card number — see Section 5)
• Trading waiver: If you connect a brokerage account, we collect your full name and account confirmation as part of the Trading Waiver agreement
• Broker credentials: If you connect a brokerage account, access tokens are stored in encrypted form (see Section 6)
• Support communications: Any messages you send to support@quant-builder.ai

Information Generated Through Your Use of the Platform

• Model configurations: Training parameters, feature selections, target settings, and universe filters you define
• Model outputs: Backtesting results, confidence scores, and generated picks from your models
• Chat history: Conversations with the QB AI assistant
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, and timestamps of activity
• Login data: IP address, browser type, and device type at time of login

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account numbers
• We do not collect data from your brokerage accounts beyond what is necessary to execute orders you initiate
• We do not build advertising profiles or sell your data to advertisers

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

• Provide the Platform: Run your models, store your results, and deliver your daily picks
• Process payments: Handle subscription billing through Stripe
• Send transactional emails: Account verification, password reset, billing receipts, and important service notices
• Improve the Platform: Understand how features are used in aggregate to guide product development
• Enforce our Terms: Detect abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests from government authorities where required

We do not use your information to:

• Sell or rent to third parties
• Target you with advertising
• Make automated decisions about your creditworthiness or financial standing

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

When you delete your account, we begin the deletion process within 30 days. Certain records are retained longer only where required by law.

5. PAYMENT PROCESSING — STRIPE

We use Stripe, Inc. to process all payments. When you enter payment details at checkout, that information is submitted directly to Stripe's servers — we never receive or store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account number.

Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We store only what Stripe returns to us after a successful transaction: your Stripe Customer ID, subscription ID, plan type, and billing status.

6. BROKER CREDENTIALS

If you connect a brokerage account, the access tokens provided by your broker are:

• Encrypted using industry-standard encryption before storage
• Stored in our secure database and never shared with any third party
• Used only to execute orders you explicitly initiate through the Platform
• Deleted immediately if you disconnect the broker or delete your account

We do not store your brokerage username or password. We use only the access tokens provided through each broker's official API authorization process.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Regarding OpenAI: When you use the QB AI Chat feature, your messages and model context (feature names, backtest metrics, etc.) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We do not send your name or email to OpenAI. As of this writing, OpenAI does not use API inputs to train its models.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

8. COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

We use minimal cookies and browser storage strictly necessary to operate the Platform:

• Session cookies: Keep you logged in during your session
• Authentication tokens: Stored in local storage to maintain your login across sessions

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for sensitive credentials (broker tokens)
• Access controls limiting which systems can access user data

No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email promptly after discovery.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements in Section 4)
• Export your model configurations and results — contact support
• Opt out of non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@quant-builder.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents: You have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect.
