1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
By creating an account and accessing QuantBuilder AI ("QuantBuilder," "the Platform," "we," "us"), you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Platform.
2. WHAT QUANTBUILDER IS — AND IS NOT
QuantBuilder is a research and analytical tool.
The Platform allows you to build, train, and backtest machine learning models using publicly available financial data. All model outputs, stock scores, rankings, and lists of securities ("Picks") are generated entirely by models that you configure, train, and control.
QuantBuilder is not:
- A registered investment advisor (RIA)
- A broker-dealer
- A financial planner or financial counselor
- A provider of investment advice, recommendations, or signals of any kind
No content on this Platform constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. The word "Picks" refers solely to securities that scored highly according to the criteria you defined in your own model. It does not reflect the views, opinions, or recommendations of QuantBuilder AI or its operators in any way.
3. NO INVESTMENT ADVICE
QuantBuilder does not provide investment advice. Nothing on this Platform — including but not limited to model outputs, backtesting results, confidence scores, feature importances, charts, research data, or AI chat responses — should be construed as financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
You acknowledge that:
- Past performance of any model, strategy, or security does not guarantee future results
- Backtested results are hypothetical and do not reflect actual trading outcomes
- Machine learning models trained on historical data may fail to predict future market conditions
- All investment decisions are made solely by you, based on your own judgment and analysis
4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
You are solely responsible for:
- All investment and trading decisions you make based on any information obtained through the Platform
- Ensuring that your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Determining whether any security is appropriate for your personal financial situation, risk tolerance, and investment objectives
- Any losses, damages, or tax consequences arising from your investment or trading activity
You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
5. SUBSCRIPTION AND PAYMENTS
QuantBuilder is offered on a paid subscription basis. By subscribing you agree to the following:
- Billing: You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to the plan you selected
- Introductory Pricing: Pro and Max plans carry an introductory rate for the first 6 months, after which billing automatically transitions to the standard rate. You will be shown the standard rate before completing checkout
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued
- Refunds: We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law
- Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice to your registered email address
- Failed Payments: Access may be suspended if a payment fails and is not resolved within 7 days
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce any portion of the Platform or its data
- Share your account credentials with any other person
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to manipulate, interfere with, or damage the Platform or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to access the Platform beyond normal use
7. DATA AND PRIVACY
We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described therein.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The QuantBuilder platform, codebase, user interface, algorithms, and all related content are the intellectual property of QuantBuilder AI and its operators. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose during your subscription period.
You retain ownership of any model configurations, feature selections, and custom settings you create within the Platform.
9. BROKER INTEGRATIONS AND TRADING
If you choose to connect a brokerage account to the Platform, you must separately agree to the QuantBuilder Trading Waiver, which contains additional terms governing automated and API-based trading activity. Broker connectivity is an optional add-on feature and is not required to use the Platform's core research and modeling capabilities.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY DATA OR MODEL OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QUANTBUILDER AI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuantBuilder AI and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your investment or trading activities.
13. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us at support@quant-builder.ai.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
